Behind the matching is facial recognition: the system creates a face template — a numeric description of facial geometry — solely to route photos from your event to the person in them. It is scoped to that single event, never cross-referenced against anything else, and permanently destroyed within 30 days of the attendee signing up.
Questions we get from event teams.
How quickly do attendees receive photos?
Their gallery link is in their hand before they walk away from the camera, and the photos they’re in appear in it through the event as matching runs. New matches keep landing as we keep shooting.
Do attendees need an app?
No. The gallery link arrives as an ordinary email and opens in any browser. Nothing to download, nothing for your IT team to approve.
Can attendees opt out?
Yes, at sign-up or at any point after. They still get the frames from their own turn at the camera, handed over by a QR code there; opting out means we don’t match them to candids from the rest of the event.
How is biometric data handled?
The system creates a face template, a numeric description of facial geometry, used for one purpose: routing photos to the person in them. The matching itself runs on Amazon Rekognition, the vendor that operates the platform on our behalf under a written contract limiting it to processing on our instructions, barring any other use including model training, and requiring deletion on our schedule. Beyond that processor the template is never sold, never used to train a model and never given to your organization or anyone else.
How long is face data retained?
It is permanently destroyed within 30 days of the attendee signing up, and sooner on request. The full schedule is in our biometric notice.
Can Fate handle large conferences?
Yes. We scale the crew to the venue and the number of concurrent tracks, and put multiple photographers on the same event, all feeding one gallery, when the headcount calls for it.
Can Fate provide photo and video together?
Yes, and most events book both. One team, one point of contact, one set of deliverables.
Can photos include event or company branding?
Yes. Branded backdrops are available, your logo and sponsor cards run on the camera display and the slideshow, and the delivery email can carry your event name.
How does delivery reach attendees?
By email. Sign-up asks for an email address, which is required, and an optional mobile number used only for headshot-queue texts. We never send photos by text.
Does Fate travel nationwide?
Yes. We are based in San Diego and work anywhere in the United States. Travel and per diem are quoted up front, never added later.
Can Fate provide exhibitor or headshot activations?
Yes. A headshot booth is one of the strongest traffic drivers on an expo floor, and it works as a sponsored activation or an exhibitor draw.

We are based in San Diego, we travel for the work, and we are a trade name of Fate Studios Creative, LLC. Every shoot is staffed by the people you meet at the walkthrough, not subcontracted out on the day.
